We’re very fortunate that we’ve been in this business for 25 years, and have pretty much heard it al! Here’s how we’ve answered some of the most commonly asked questions from customers:
Why does my husband have to be home for the appointment?
It’s always best to have all decision makers home when we come over to review the options, answer any questions, etc. However, we are more than happy to come out and meet with whomever at any time.
Why can’t you just share the average cost with me?
Each job is a custom job. How much pre work is needed? Is there a slant? Will you clear the garage or will we? How much material is needed? What’s the distance? All of this is factored into the price making it a truly custom install.
Can I use Nature Stone on a floor that isn’t cement?
No, Nature Stone will only adhere to cement.
How is Nature Stone installed?
Nature Stone is installed by taking a small amount of a hand selected pebble mix and combining it with a proprietary epoxy. The stone is covered with the epoxy and then smoothed onto a concrete surface, such as a basement floor, garage floor or sun room floor. The floor will dry in about 24 hours.
How do I clean Nature Stone?
We recommend a little Simple Green or even Dawn liquid detergent. Mop and go, that’s it.
Do I have to treat it if it’s outside?
Yes because anything outside is faced with natural elements, especially the sun. We recommend a top coat once a year to protect your floor.
Are you green friendly?
Yes! Our epoxy is VOC free and certified green. Good for you, good for Earth.
Is it really comfortable?
People assume a stone floor would be uncomfortable to walk or sit on or cold to the touch – much a like a tile floor – but that simply isn’t the case. Truth is a Nature Stone floor actually retains more heat than tile or carpet. And it’s a smooth – not rough – surface.
Why are you more that competitors or carpet, tile, etc.
We actually cost less in most cases, and last way longer. This makes us an ideal choice for basements that tend to flood.
Can Nature Stone be used in a basement?
Actually, Nature Stone is one of the recommended basement flooring options. With the levels of moisture in basements, other flooring surfaces can harbor mold and mildew which can be harmful for your family. Nature Stone’s materials are self-draining and wick moisture away from the flooring, preventing this bacterial growth.
Is Nature Stone suitable for businesses?
Yes! Nature Stone is a great solution for business and commercial flooring as it is easy to care for and can readily take high traffic areas. Businesses such as hotels, restaurants and medical facilities benefit from using Nature Stone.
How many pebble colors can I choose from?
There are many, many pebble color and texture options for you to choose from. And, if you are unable to find a mix that meets your needs, you can create your own customized blend that will highlight the décor of your home or business.
Can I customize my floor?
In addition to being able to create your own stone mix, you can also have a logo or border added to your flooring. Simply give us a copy of your art and we will translate it into your floor in your company colors.
